Job summary

The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division seeks a GPD Service Center Outreach Coordinator in Champaign. You will build relationships with community organizations to provide information about the GPD Service Center, coordinate services with partners, and engage Veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Working with the Department of Veterans Affairs, you will ensure compliance with GPD guidelines, refer participants to Prescreen, advocate for services, and support program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• Experience with social services or homeless programs.
• Experience with Veterans and families.
• Valid driver's license/MVR.
• Knowledge of VA homeless programs (GPD/SSVF/HCHV).
• Veteran status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify locations for outreach to Veteran applicants.
• Engage and build rapport with target population.
• Coordinate/participate in CoC meetings and referrals.
• Maintain relationships with community partners.
• Support program QA and data collection and reporting.
