United States Senate in Casper, WY seeks a Veteran and Military Liaison to work directly with military and veteran constituents and their families on federal casework. You will also serve as liaison to local and statewide veteran groups and to the Wyoming Military Department.

• Veteran status and strong Wyoming ties.

• Familiar with VA/military issues in Wyoming (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Veteran and Military Casework: Advocate on behalf of Wyoming veterans, military members and their families with federal agencies and programs.
• Veteran Outreach: Establish relationships with organizations, agencies and communities to keep a pulse on veteran issues around Wyoming.
• Service Academy Nominations: Facilitate military service academy nominations, including coordinating student outreach and managing the Senator’s Academy Board.
• Public Outreach: Coordinate, plan and attend events with and on behalf of the Senator to maintain visibility and availability to constituents.
• Advocacy: Routinely monitor and report to the Senator on issues directly impacting Wyoming veterans and their families, including identifying opportunities for the Senator to help improve the quality of life of veterans, military members and their families.
