Job summary

Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS) is seeking a Veteran Care Coordinator for the MYFLVET program. The role includes intake, screening, assessment, and linking veterans to VA and other behavioral health services, via phone, email, and in person.

You will provide crisis counseling and suicide intervention, coordinate care plans with veterans and families, advocate for access to resources, and participate in outreach and staff training to improve veteran support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field preferred.
• Experience in crisis counseling or working with veterans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone crisis counseling and suicide intervention services.
• Coordinate care plans with veterans and their families.
• Facilitate referrals to VA services and other providers.
• Advocate for veterans to access federally funded and private organizations.
• Attend outreach/community events as needed.
