Job summary

CrescentCare in New Orleans seeks a part-time Behavioral Health Veteran Coordinator to support CCBHC clients with military experience and help them access VHA benefits and CrescentCare services. You will use your lived experience to translate treatment options, connect clients to benefits, document encounters in the EHR within 3 business days, and collaborate with treatment teams across the agency.

This role requires empathy, strong communication, and reliability in a community-focused health

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or HiSET.
One year of direct behavioral health or related field experience.
Must be 21 years of age or older and have military experience.

Responsibilities

Utilize lived military experience to translate and explain services, treatment, and the recovery process.
Connect with CrescentCare CCBHC clients with military experience to offer peer resources and assist with VHA benefits enrollment.
Document all client encounters in the electronic medical record (EHR) within 3 business days.
Attend treatment team meetings and participate in agency-wide meetings.
All other duties as assigned.
