Job summary
Kiavets in Schaumburg, IL, is seeking Military Veterans to start a rewarding career as an Automotive Service Technician within the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP). This program provides participants with hands-on experience, leading to Kia Service Technician certification.
Candidates will work full-time at a participating Kia dealership, gaining skills in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing Kia vehicles while receiving tools and support. The apprenticeship is GI Bill® approved, offering eligible Veterans a Monthly Housing Allowance during their training.
Qualifications
- Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service is required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is necessary.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
- Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics using dealership procedures.
- Complete repair orders and warranty documentation per policies.
