Job summary

Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience to start an Automotive Service Technician career. This structured apprenticeship program offers hands-on experience and leads to Kia Service Technician certification.

Participants will work full-time at Kia dealerships while gaining the skills necessary for the automotive industry. The program is GI Bill approved, providing eligible Veterans with a Monthly Housing Allowance during training.

Qualifications

• Must have an honorable discharge from U.S. military service.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Previous experience in a mechanical or technical field is essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines and electrical systems.
• Perform vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs using diagnostic procedures.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors to ensure customer satisfaction.
