Job summary

The KIA Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) in Gaithersburg, MD, is looking for Military Veterans to become Automotive Service Technicians. This apprenticeship includes hands-on training and the opportunity to achieve Kia Service Technician certification while working full-time at a dealership. Responsibilities involve diagnosing and repairing Kia vehicles, performing inspections, and collaborating with service professionals. Eligible Veterans can receive a Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) through the GI Bill® during training.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors.
