Job summary

Kia VTAP invites skilled veterans to begin a rewarding career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. The program is a one-year, competency-based GI Bill approved apprenticeship leading to Kia Service Technician certification, with access to tools, equipment, and training required to complete the process.

Participants may qualify for a significant GI Bill Monthly Housing Allowance during their apprenticeship, and will obtain full-time employment with a participating Kia Retailer upon successful

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical or mechanical field is required.
• Must have honorable discharge and be eligible for employment.
• Must be willing to pass drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles and systems.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests per policies.
• Test drive and diagnose using Kia diagnostic strategies and tools.
• Communicate with shop foreman and service advisor to ensure customer satisfaction.
