Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Pet Care Assistant to prepare treatment rooms, assist veterinarians and technicians, restrain pets, and help with in-house lab testing. The role emphasizes client education, animal comfort, and maintaining a clean, organized hospital environment.

The position requires strong communication, multitasking, and reliable teamwork, with a focus on compassionate care and excellent client service. Weekend and evening hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old to perform radiography and exposure to radioactive substances.
• One year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the treatment room and supplies for examinations.
• Restrain pets during examination, treatment, or inoculation.
• Prepare routine in-house lab tests (e.g., heartworm, FeLV).
• Monitor comfort of hospitalized patients and walk/feed as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of hospital and surgical suite per protocols.
• Provide client education on preventive care and wellness plans.
• Support Client Services Coordinator as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
