Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, Brakes, HVAC, and drive trains. You will work under supervision and support drivers on routes with state-of-the-art fleet.

Responsibilities include identifying malfunctions with electronic tools, completing training programs, and adhering to safety standards. CDL is a plus; ASE T1-T8 is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on Classes 1-5 light/medium/heavy-duty trucks or similar equipment.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on vehicle components and systems on-site or on the road.
• Repair chassis components, refuse bodies, and braking systems.
• Conduct light engine work, suspension, drive train, and HVAC maintenance.
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
• Provide road service to ensure equipment is operational and safe.
