Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg/Telemetry Float Pool. You will deliver high-quality clinical care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care units, supporting a collaborative team dedicated to patient-centered outcomes.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (or compact license with activation within 60 days), a Nursing Diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), and current BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications. Prior acute care experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or hold a compact license with an active FL RN license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification with 6-month grace period.
• Current NIHSS certification with 6-month grace period.
• Credentials such as CCRN/ONC/PCCN or CMSRN are preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, service orientation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records, including tests and results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
