Job summary

HCA Florida Northside Hospital in Saint Petersburg, FL, seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Med/Surg/Progressive Care Float Pool. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care in medical-surgical, telemetry and progressive care environments.

You will be part of a supportive, collaborative team focused on patient care and outcomes. The role requires Florida RN licensure, nursing diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), and certs including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse. If compact license, FL RN active within 60 days.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Acute care experience strongly preferred.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required (6-month grace).
• NIHSS certification required (6-month grace).
• CCRN/ONC/PCCN/CMSRN etc. certifications listed are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records including tests and results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
