Job summary

HCA Florida Northside Hospital in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg/Telemetry Float Pool. You will provide expert clinical care across Med/Surg, Telemetry and Progressive Care in a collaborative, patient‑focused team.

Qualifications

• Requires Florida RN license (or compact licensure) and active FL RN within 60 days if compact.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Prior acute care experience strongly preferred.
• AHA BLS required.
• ACLS required (6-month grace period).
• NIHSS required (6-month grace period).
• CCRN/ONC/PCCN/CMSRN certifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records, posting tests and results.
• Administer medications according to physician orders.
