Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Part-Time Facility Float Pool RN for the Float Pool department, 12 hours per week with shifts to be determined.

You will provide patient care using the nursing process, coordinating with other departments to support care plans while upholding patient rights and confidentiality. A 1-year acute care background, RN license, and BLS certification are required, with additional unit-specific certs possible.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year of nursing experience in acute care, preferred. Six months of this experience should be within the last year.
• Required Education: Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program.
• Licensure: Maintain current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure; meet state board requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or course within 30 days of hire.
• Other: Unit-specific certifications as required.
• Physical requirements: Push/pull/lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing and walking; grip/reach/bend/kneel/twist/squat.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments to support care plans.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Operate within scope of nursing practice and Mercy Service Standards.
