Job summary

Community Bridges is seeking a part-time floater to assist teachers and ensure a safe, engaging environment for children served by our programs. The floater helps maintain a positive classroom climate, supports curriculum implementation, and builds relationships with children, families, and staff.

Under supervision, you will contribute to developmentally appropriate activities, observe and document child progress, and participate in parent conferences and meetings.

Qualifications

• Must have CDA Teacher permit or higher issued by the CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
• 12 ECE units, including core courses in Curriculum, Child Family & Community, and Child Growth Development.
• At least 50 days of experience in paid or unpaid work in a child care setting in the previous 2 years.
• Fluent English; bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a developmentally appropriate program for children.
• Support health and safety, curriculum development, and parent communication.
• Document observations and support growth goals for children.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in safety drills.
