Job summary

Metropolitan Ministries is seeking a Floater to support Early Childhood Teachers by assisting with classroom activities and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment for children. The role requires a strong sense of responsibility, ability to adapt across classrooms, and commitment to program safety.

The position emphasizes adherence to licensing standards, teamwork with staff and volunteers, and ongoing training to support diverse families in a faith-based community.

Qualifications

• Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification for child safety.
• Ability to work with diverse families in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Supervise school-age children during shifts and float across classrooms.
• Assist Early Childhood Teachers with planning and delivering age-appropriate curriculum.
• Ensure classroom and playground safety, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance.
• Follow state licensing guidelines and NECPA standards; participate in trainings.
• Demonstrate scheduling flexibility to meet program needs.
• Support KPI targets and team goals; assist with other duties as assigned.
