Job summary

Centro de la Familia de Utah is seeking a versatile Center Aide Substitute to assist in classrooms, supervise play areas, and promote health, safety, and school readiness for young learners. You may work across locations within the center and contribute to transportation, kitchen operations, family services, and developmental specialties as needed.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, eager to work with children including those with limited English proficiency, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and eager to work with children, including those with limited English proficiency.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and to sit on the floor during activities.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and assist teachers.
• Help maintain a safe playground and classroom environments.
• Support health, safety, and school readiness of young learners.
• Contribute to transportation, kitchen operations, family services, and developmental specialties when needed.
• Adhere to CACFP guidelines for meal times.

Skills

Bilingual: Spanish/English

Education

High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

CDA / AA in Early Childhood Education (advantageous)

CPR/First Aid certification
