Job summary

Centro de la Familia seeks a Center/Bus Aide Substitute to support in the classroom, supervise a safe playground, and promote health, safety, and readiness for young learners. You may move across locations to assist with transportation, kitchen operations, family services, and developmental activities.

You will work under the Education Specialist, upholding compliance with safety and health policies, fostering growth, and supporting bilingual learners in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Entry-level position with or without education or experience; enthusiasm to work with children is essential.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort sitting on the floor, kneeling, and participating in activities with children aged 0-5.
• Bilingual Spanish and English is a plus.
• CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler permits (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and actively supervise children.
• Help maintain a safe playground environment and partner with teachers on supervision.
• Assist with transportation, kitchen operations, family services, and developmental activities as needed.
• Support inclusion and adapt activities for children with IFSPs/IEPs.
• Model positive communication and proper classroom behavior while promoting learning and safety.

Skills

Bilingual English/Spanish

Education

High School Diploma or GED

CDA Credential (within 6 months)

AA in Early Childhood Education or related
