Job summary

Bryten is seeking a skilled Floating Maintenance Technician to join our Avondale community. You will perform maintenance repairs, preventative tasks, and help ensure a safe, well-kept living environment for residents.

You will diagnose issues across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry while supporting make-readies, inspections, and on-call duties. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
HVAC certification preferred; related certifications are a plus.
Apartment or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

Complete service requests and work orders in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other building systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment, buildings, and common areas.
Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents (make-ready and turn processes).
Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, amenities, and equipment for safety and maintenance needs.
Assist with emergency maintenance and participate in on-call rotations as required.
Maintain curb appeal and upkeep of grounds, common areas, and amenities.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, inventory, and maintenance activities.
