Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a Service Technician 1 in Anthem, AZ to prepare vacant apartments and provide timely maintenance across occupied and vacant units. You will handle painting, drywall repairs, basic electrical/plumbing work, and daily upkeep, contributing to asset value and resident satisfaction.

The role requires at least 1 year of maintenance experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. Company benefits and on-call rotation are included.

Qualifications

• 1+ years maintenance experience required.
• 1+ years painting and drywall repairs preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude required.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, pool maintenance, appliances, building systems, irrigation, and HVAC systems.
• EPA certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy (painting, drywall, trash out, repairs).
• Perform basic system repairs on electrical, plumbing, hot water heaters, HVAC, appliances.
• Perform carpentry and painting work; identify correct paint sheen and color.
• Learn to distinguish full-paint vs. touch-up and maintain accurate logs.
• Handle daily maintenance tasks, on-call rotation, and travel between properties.
