Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a highly motivated Verification Intern to join the IP Design team within Data Center Solutions. This part-time internship offers hands-on experience building IP verification environments and AI-powered tools to boost productivity in ASIC verification.

You'll work with Verilog/SystemVerilog, UVM, and scripting (Python/TCL/Perl) while pursuing Electrical or Computer Engineering studies, ideally graduating Summer 2027, and able to commit up to 25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Electrical or Computer Engineering degree, senior level or higher.
• Familiarity with Verilog/SystemVerilog; UVM is a plus.
• Course work in digital design and computer architecture required.
• Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, TCL and Perl.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain testbenches using SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Analyze simulation results and collaborate with design engineers.
• Contribute to automated verification environments and scripts.
• Help develop AI-based tools to improve verification productivity.
• Research new AI techniques applicable to ASIC verification.
