Job summary

Opry Entertainment Group (OEG) is seeking a Venue IT Engineer II to ensure reliability, performance, and security of technology environments across venues. You will design, support, and optimize wired and wireless networks enabling ticketing, POS, mobile, and other mission-critical systems for live venue operations.

You will lead advanced troubleshooting, resolve complex issues, and mentor junior engineers while developing standards and runbooks to raise operational maturity across platforms.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required, or equivalent
• 5+ years' IT experience with hands-on responsibility for networked systems
• 3+ years' network engineering experience; Ubiquiti/UniFi strongly preferred
• 2+ years supporting POS systems in operational/live events; Micros Simphony preferred
• Experience supporting high-availability, multi-site or event-driven environments
• Demonstrated leadership through mentoring, influence, or ownership of complex issues

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on support and advanced troubleshooting of venue network infrastructure, especially Ubiquiti platforms
• Design, implement, and maintain network configurations for ticketing, POS, and mobile devices
• Diagnose complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement resolutions
• Serve as escalation point for Level I engineers with guidance and oversight
• Perform advanced wired/wireless diagnostics including VLANs, RF, throughput, capacity
• Identify performance gaps and provide actionable recommendations
• Coordinate technical tasks during incidents, deployments, and live events
• Test, validate, and document changes per change management
• Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and network diagrams
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response during outages
• Support venue deployments, upgrades, and projects with internal teams and vendors
• Contribute to standards, procedures, and repeatable support processes
