Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking multiple junior, mid-level, and senior associates to join its Emerging Growth & Venture Capital group. The associates will focus on working with emerging growth companies and the institutional investors that support them.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years’ experience representing both institutional investors and issuers in venture capital financings, as well as experience with M&A.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Emerging Growth/Venture Capital experience.
• Experience representing institutional investors and issuers in venture capital financings.
• Experience with M&A and advising emerging growth companies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research to support transaction prep and strategy.
• Draft legal documents including briefs, contracts, and correspondence.
• Manage complex transactions from inception to closing.
• Interact with clients and build relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with lawyers and professionals to develop strategy.
• Attend hearings, negotiations, and trials as needed.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and keep abreast of legal developments.
