Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking junior to mid-level associates to join our Emerging Growth & Venture Capital group in Austin. The team focuses on supporting emerging growth companies and institutional investors, with a mix of venture financings, M&A and corporate matters.

Candidates must have direct big law experience, Texas admission or waive-in eligibility. This is an in-office role; remote candidates will not be considered.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Texas or able to waive in.
• 2–7 years of Emerging Growth/Venture Capital experience in a big law firm.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support complex corporate, finance, real estate, tax, employment and other transactions from inception to closing.
• Conduct due diligence, analyze findings, identify risks, and advise clients.
• Draft, review, negotiate and revise contracts and transaction documents.
