Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a mid-level Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Associate Attorney in San Diego, California. The role focuses on start-ups and emerging growth companies with substantial experience in venture capital work.

You will handle seed financings, NVCA-style documentation, and related M&A activities for startups and investors, while managing client and counsel relationships and communicating complex issues clearly.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in emerging companies and venture capital work.
• Experience with start-ups, seed and VC financings, and public offerings.
• Admitted to the state bar where practicing or eligible to waive in.
• JD from an accredited law school; State Bar admission.

Responsibilities

• Advise start-ups and emerging growth companies on seed and venture capital financings.
• Conduct venture financings using NVCA documents.
• Participate in domestic M&A transactions for startup companies and investors.
• Manage client and counsel relationships effectively.
• Communicate complex matters concisely in both oral and written form.
