Job summary

Dover Corporation’s Microwave Products Group (MPG) seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting functions in Ventura, CA. The role includes managing the accounting team, ensuring accuracy in AP/AR, fixed assets, and general ledger, while maintaining strong internal controls.

The individual will supervise month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and tax filings, with emphasis on GAAP and SOX compliance, and will interact with key stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
• 5+ years in a senior accounting/finance role, with 2+ years in a managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Accounts Payable and ensure timely, accurate processing.
• Oversee month-end close and provide timely reporting.
• Lead monthly forecasting and annual budgeting activities.
• Monitor sales/use tax filings and related compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop KPIs and maintain internal controls.
