Job summary

Dover Corporation – Microwave Products Group (MPG) in Ventura, California is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting functions including AP, AR, fixed assets and general ledger. You will lead the accounting team to ensure accuracy and strong internal controls.

The role demands a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance (CPA or Master's preferred), 5+ years’ experience with 2+ in management, and strong GAAP/SOX knowledge. SAP/Oracle experience is essential; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in accounting/finance; at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting; SOX compliance is required.
• Experience with financial software/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and risk controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Accounts Payable specialist and ensure timely, accurate processing.
• Oversee month-end close and financial reporting.
• Lead monthly forecasts and annual budgeting analyses.
• Monitor sales/use tax filings and compliance with government requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop KPIs and manage internal controls.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, SOX, and company policies.
