Job summary

Phoenix of Fairlawn in Akron, OH is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care to residents in a warm, professional environment.

You will administer therapies, manage ventilator-dependent residents, perform assessments and tests, document progress, collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate patients and staff, and ensure equipment safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist in Ohio (RRT or CRT) is required.
• Long-term care and/or vent unit experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Dependable, compassionate, and patient-centered.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions as prescribed.
• Manage ventilator-dependent residents, including equipment setup and monitoring.
• Perform respiratory assessments and pulmonary function tests.
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning.
• Educate patients and staff on respiratory therapies and equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
