Job summary

Avenue at Broadview Heights is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist for full and part-time night shifts in a ventilator unit. You will provide high-quality respiratory care to residents with complex needs, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires RT or RRT licensure in the state, graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, and experience with ventilator-dependent patients. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of employment.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Experience with ventilator-dependent patients required.
• Skilled nursing, long-term care, or LTACH experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to ventilator-dependent residents
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and respiratory equipment
• Perform respiratory assessments and administer prescribed treatments
• Provide tracheostomy care and support ventilator weaning as ordered
• Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and changes in resident condition
• Accurately document assessments, treatments, and resident responses
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
