Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver advanced respiratory care to ventilator‑dependent patients in home and alternative settings. You will educate families, coordinate with physicians, and ensure safe transitions from hospital to home.

This field role requires traveling to patient sites, providing hands-on treatment, and maintaining thorough documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from AMA-approved respiratory program.
• License as Respiratory Therapist in states served.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply knowledge of ventilators and related equipment.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians.
• Assist in discharge planning for ventilator dependent patients.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use.
• Document patient care activities clearly and timely.
• Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and safety guidelines.
