Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This Field Clinician role merges hands-on patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

You will maintain advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment, perform assessments, participate in discharge planning, and educate patients and caregivers on

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• 1 year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in all states serviced by the branch.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of ventilators, HME products, and related guidelines.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians and referral sources.
• Participate in discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients and ensure smooth home transitions.
• Demonstrate and instruct patients and caregivers on ventilator units and equipment use.
• Document patient care activities, assessments, and outcomes per company standards.
