AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized home-based respiratory care for ventilator-dependent patients. The role combines hands-on patient care, education, and coordination with physicians and care teams outside the hospital setting.

The position requires an associate degree in respiratory therapy, 1 year of ventilator-exposure experience, and an active respiratory license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• 1 year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states served by the branch.
• CPR certification.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment and ventilators.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians.
• Discharge planning and home setting transitions for ventilator patients.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on ventilator units and equipment use.
• Document patient care activities in company systems.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PPE, and infection control.
