Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This field clinician role combines hands-on patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians for safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, clinical assessments, patient education, and maintaining complete documentation in line with company standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from AMA-approved respiratory program.
• 1 year of clinical ventilator exposure or related respiratory experience.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in all states served by the branch.
• CPR certification and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of ventilators, HME products, and related guidelines.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians and care teams.
• Provide education to patients and caregivers on ventilator use and care.
• Document care activities and ensure compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
