Job summary

AdaptHealth seeks a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to vent-dependent patients at home and in alternate care settings. Clinicians will perform assessments, manage ventilator equipment, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

The role requires educating patients and caregivers, participating in discharge planning, and maintaining complete documentation while complying with HIPAA and regulatory

Qualifications

• Associates degree from AMA-approved respiratory program (required).
• Experience providing respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients is preferred.
• Knowledge of ventilator equipment, patient records, and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment and ventilators.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians.
• Discharge planning and home-transition coordination for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Instruct patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on ventilator use and safety.
• Document patient care activities and ensure HIPAA/compliance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
