Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This field clinician role combines direct patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians and care teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in serviced states.
• CPR certification and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilators, and guidelines.
• Perform assessments and communicate findings to physicians and referrals.
• Participate in discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on equipment use and safety.
• Document care activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
