Job summary

Nihon Kohden America is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support NKA ventilator and patient monitoring systems. The role requires on-site and remote troubleshooting, installation, training, and strong collaboration with hospital teams in Baltimore area, with extensive travel.

Qualified candidates have 4+ years on ventilators or related equipment, an associate degree in a technical field, and relevant certifications (Network+, CBET/BMET). Competitive compensation and benefits apply.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Respiratory Therapy, IT, or related field; Bachelor's preferred.
4+ years servicing ventilators or respiratory therapy equipment.
CompTIA Network+, CBET, BMET or equivalent preferred.
Experience diagnosing hardware, software, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and system-performance issues.
Experience providing customer-facing technical support in healthcare environments.
Basic knowledge of hospital networking and wired/wireless connectivity preferred.

Responsibilities

Servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting ventilator and related medical devices.
Provide on-site and remote technical support, including installation and training.
Diagnose hardware, software, electrical, pneumatic, and connectivity issues.
Perform preventive maintenance and regulatory-compliant inspections.
Document service actions and communicate with customers clearly.
