Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Sr. Manager, Program and Project Management (Vendor Management) to lead a team of program managers responsible for vendor contracting and oversight across healthcare quality and affordability initiatives.

The role requires extensive cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive best-in-class vendor management processes while supporting key projects with the Director of Vendor Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of additional relevant experience.
• 8 years of relevant experience.
• 4 years of people management experience supervising, coaching, and evaluating direct reports.
• Leading and managing execution of processes, projects, and tactics in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.
• Advanced knowledge in risk management, vendor management, and contracting.
• Strong presentation and communications skills.
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Medicare and Medi-Cal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of program managers focused on vendor contracting and oversight.
• Oversee one or more vendors and ensure performance standards.
• Support the Director of Vendor Management on key projects and establish best-in-class processes.
