Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking an Experienced Program Coordinator in Vendor Management. You will lead vendor contracting and oversight for healthcare quality and affordability programs, reporting to the Senior Manager, Vendor Management. You will also support key projects and help establish contracting processes.

The role emphasizes leadership development, critical thinking, and continuous learning within a hybrid workplace model, with in-person collaboration two days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or GED with 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Requires 3 years of prior relevant experience.
• Practical knowledge of vendor management obtained through advanced education and experience.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Vendor contracting and program/project management experience preferred.
• Medicare and Medi-Cal knowledge and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead vendor contracting and oversight for a portfolio of Healthcare Quality and Affordability programs.
• Support the Partner Services vendor management team on key projects.
• Help establish best-in-class vendor management and contracting processes.
