Job summary

Blue Shield of California seeks a Sr. Manager, Program and Project Management (Vendor Management) to lead a team of program managers focused on vendor contracting and oversight across Healthcare Quality and Affordability programs.

You will oversee one or more vendors and support the Director in strategic initiatives. Hybrid role requiring in-office attendance two days per week, with additional in-person collaboration as needed; strong leadership, communication, and financial acumen are essential

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Requires 8 years of prior relevant experience
• Requires 4 years of prior people management experience with direct responsibility for supervising, coaching, and evaluating direct reports
• Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within a high-paced cross-functional environment
• Advanced knowledge and skills including technical or functional expertise, business acumen, financial analysis skills, risk management, delegation skills, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Advanced knowledge in risk management, vendor management, and contracting
• Knowledge of Blue Shield of California's mission, vision, strategy, and healthcare environment
• Strong presentation and communications skills
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
• Medicare and Medi-Cal experience preferred
