Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Sr. Manager, Program and Project Management (Vendor Management) to lead the Vendor Management team for Healthcare Quality and Affordability programs. You will supervise program managers, oversee vendor relationships, and support key projects to establish best-in-class contracting processes.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or HS diploma and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Requires 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Requires 4 years of prior people management experience with direct reports.
• Advanced knowledge in risk management, vendor management, and contracting.
• Strong presentation and communications skills; Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Medicare and Medi-Cal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead vendor contracting and oversight for a portfolio of Healthcare Quality and Affordability programs.
• Manage a team of program managers with direct reports.
• Provide oversight for one or more vendors.
• Support the Director of Vendor Management on key projects and establishing best-in-class processes.
