Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services seeks an experienced Vendor Oversight Specialist to manage a portfolio of third-party service providers, ensuring ongoing compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. You will coordinate due diligence, monitor contracts, and escalate issues to leadership as needed.

The role emphasizes strong documentation control, proactive communication with vendors, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess large volume of documentation to complete vendor annual reviews in compliance with regulations and policy.
• Monitor and conduct first level review of vendor compliance documents across oversight lifecycle.
• Escalate identified risks or privacy issues to leadership in a timely manner.
• Maintain vendor management inbox and ensure timely processing of inquiries.
• Manage ongoing reviews and contract obligations; ensure accuracy of the vendor management system.
• Escalate matters to leadership if issues cannot be resolved.
• Perform due diligence for new third-party vendors and submit for approval through formal processes.
• Provide updates to vendors and communicate status via status reports.
• Review FNMA/FHLMC documentation for compliance and update statuses.
• Coordinate marketing and mortgage lending vendor invoices as needed.
• Ensure internal documents are current in the system of record.
• Respond to site audit exceptions and track remediation actions.
• Support vendor communications and track acknowledgements.
• Research potential new service providers to meet onboarding needs.
• Log consumer complaints and coordinate with business areas for remediation.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
