Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) seeks a Vending Manager to plan, coordinate and supervise vending operations at an assigned activity in the Bethesda area. The role covers procurement, inventory management, and operating financials to achieve net contributions.

The incumbent will manage vendor relations, implement asset controls and promotion strategies, and travel within the district as required. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years in merchandising, procurement or related work.
• Must be able to exercise mature judgement and work with others.
• Travel within the district may be required.
• Background checks including security clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and supervises Exchange vending operations.
• Manage inventory, cash handling, security and maintenance of machines and routes.
• Prepare reports on vending operations and financials; implement loss prevention measures.
• Ensure compliance with policies, directives and cost-control procedures.
• Develop merchandising strategies and coordinate with Exchanges for promotions.
