GLS North America Upfitters is seeking a Parts and Materials Coordinator to support day-to-day operations in a fast-paced vehicle upfitting facility. You will manage receiving, labeling, storage, and distribution of parts, coordinate with technicians and vendors, and help maintain accurate inventory for timely production.

The role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years in parts, warehouse, inventory, materials coordination, automotive, or related environment preferred.
• Automotive parts or vehicle upfitting experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and basic technical documentation.
• Basic computer skills with ability to learn inventory, purchasing, and work-order systems.
• Forklift or other material-handling equipment experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and verify parts, accessories, materials, and supplies delivered to the facility.
• Inspect incoming parts for accuracy, quantity, and damage.
• Match received parts to purchase orders, work orders, or vehicle requirements.
• Organize and maintain parts and materials in designated storage locations.
• Ensure parts are properly labeled and accessible to technicians.
• Identify correct parts with Automotive Upfit Technicians.
• Review work orders to ensure availability of parts before work begins.
• Stage parts for technicians based on production priorities.
• Distribute parts and track issuance to vehicles/work orders.
• Submit and coordinate parts orders with vendors.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder as needed.
• Research parts availability, pricing, lead times, and alternatives.
• Follow up on backorders, incorrect shipments, or damaged parts.
• Communicate delays or shortages to team members and leadership.
• Help identify solutions when parts unavailable or impact on timelines.
• Maintain records of parts received, issued, returned, and ordered.
• Coordinate returns of incorrect or unused parts.
• Maintain organized parts inventory and assist with counts.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of parts and materials.
• Support efficient vehicle flow and production schedules with Dispatch Coordinator.
