Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Plant Modelling & Simulation Engineer to develop, validate, and maintain 0D/1D plant models supporting XIL and system integration. You will work with cross-functional teams to enable efficient virtual development and validation using model-based techniques.

The role focuses on scalable models across vehicle domains, ensuring alignment with system requirements and verification workflows, and supporting model governance and CI/CD processes within an Agile

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE/ME/CE or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of plant modeling, simulation, or V&V experience.
• Strong understanding of Model-Based Development and virtual testing methods.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling tools.
• Knowledge of physical system modeling (0D/1D).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and methods.
• Experience in one scripting language.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 0D/1D plant models for propulsion, chassis, ADAS, infotainment.
• Ensure models meet fidelity across development phases (concept to validation).
• Perform model validation and correlation with requirements and test data.
• Support model reduction and optimization for simulation efficiency.
• Integrate plant models into XIL workflows and environments.
• Collaborate with controls and system engineers for alignment with strategies.
• Contribute to CI pipelines for model development and validation.
• Work with system, architecture, testing teams and vendors.
