Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a highly motivated Virtual ECU & Simulation Engineer to support next‑gen vehicle controller testing platforms. This role focuses on developing Soft ECUs, Virtual ECUs, and virtual test environments (xIL) to enable early verification of automotive software and functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical/electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years developing virtual test platforms (MIL/SIL/HIL/xIL) in automotive.
• Experience with virtualization, co‑simulation, and system‑integration toolchains.
• Proficiency with CAN analysis tools and software emulators.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain virtual test platforms (xIL).
• Develop and configure Soft ECUs and Virtual ECUs at different abstractions.
• Implement MIL, SIL, HIL testing methods for automotive apps.
• Establish toolchains for virtual ECU generation, integration, testing, deployment.
• Automate vECU generation and CI/CD workflows within virtualized envs.
• Collaborate across software, systems, and test teams from design to validation.
