Job summary

Bergey’s Chevrolet in Colmar, PA is seeking a motivated automotive sales professional to sell and lease new and used vehicles. You will process orders and paperwork, follow up with customers, and stay informed about product offerings to maximize customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes customer service, sales targets, and ongoing training to stay current with Bergey’s inventory and financing options. A valid driver's license is required and prior automotive sales experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license.
• Experience in auto sales preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Sells/leases new- and used-vehicles to customers meeting dealership standards for profit, volume, and satisfaction.
• Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork per dealership policies.
• Keeps up-to-date on products and services and participates in product/sales trainings.
• Maintains a proactive owner follow-up system to generate repeat and referral business.

Summary

Sells/leases new- and used-vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.

• Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with dealership policies.
• Utilizes dealership sales control and follow-up systems.
• Attends product and sales training courses as requested by sales manager.
• Keeps up-to-date on new products and services within the industry.
• Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
• Maintains a prospect development system.
• Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner.
• Satisfies the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers.
• Approaches, greets, and offers assistance/direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom/sales lot.
• Assists customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
• Explains fully product performance, application and benefits to prospects.
• Describes all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
• Offers test drives to all prospects. Follows dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive.
• Other tasks as assigned.
