Job summary

Bergey’s Truck Center in Carlisle, PA seeks an experienced sales professional to generate parts and tool sales within its territory and promote superior customer service. You will work with assigned accounts and prospects, selling parts and industrial supplies across the Hagerstown, Chambersburg, and Shippensburg areas.

Responsibilities include meeting sales and gross profit goals, learning new product lines through training, and participating in sales meetings and trade shows to expand market

Qualifications

• Customer service skills essential for handling accounts and prospects.
• Strong time management to meet sales and profit goals.
• Ability to quickly learn new product lines and present them effectively.
• Proficient communication for personal and telephone contacts.

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed sales and gross profit goals in the assigned territory by selling truck parts, tools, fasteners, and industrial supplies.
• Increase market share by calling on a broad customer base and presenting marketing programs.
• Understand competition and develop strategies to win new customers.
• Continue product knowledge through corporate or manufacturer training programs.
• Attend sales meetings, trainings, and trade shows.

SUMMARY

Generate sales of parts in quantities and at profit margins necessary to achieve or exceed market share, revenue and gross profit objectives, while promoting and ensuring superior customer service and working within a company team environment. Works with assigned accounts and prospects for new accounts. Contacts include both personal and telephone. Sells entire dealership.

Location: Bergey's Truck Center, Carlisle, PA

Territory: Hagerstown, Chambersburg, and Shippensburg areas

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed sales and gross profit goals of assigned territory by promoting and selling truck parts, tools, fasteners, and industrial supplies using best-practice sales techniques, product service, and building long-term customer relationships.
• Increase market share by calling on a large cross section of customers and potential customers, communicating special programs, presenting marketing programs, and selling new products and product lines.
• Understand the competition within the territory and develop strategies to win over new customers
• Continue to learn new products/product lines through corporate or manufacturer training programs
• Attend and participate in sales meetings, trainings, and trade shows

Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience in the truck/auto parts industry preferred
• Customer Service skills
• Ability to learn new product lines quickly
• Excellent time management skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word Excel) and online product directories
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening
