Job summary

The Carvana Inspection Center is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise daily operations, directing 5+ leads and up to 70 front-line associates in a lean, fast-paced environment. You will drive quality, production, and cost objectives while upholding Carvana’s no-hassle car buying promise.

You will mentor staff, implement strategic plans, ensure safety and process standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and strong team engagement across daily reconditioning activities.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to meet project deliverables and metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Ability to work with high volume in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork and leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor and hold direct reports accountable with coaching and training.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Foster teamwork and uphold Carvana values.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Oversee progression path training and certification processes.
• Provide guidance to meet production capacity for each line.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
