Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to oversee daily operations in the Inspection Center. The role leads a team of leads and associates, driving lean practices and continuous improvement to meet quality, production, and cost objectives.

You will mentor staff, develop succession plans, and ensure training and certifications are consistently executed while aligning work with Carvana's values and goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Proven ability to meet project deliverables and metrics.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Ability to work with teams to achieve results.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning.
• Assist in developing and executing strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, and performance standards.
• Foster a work environment with positive communication and team cohesion.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Ensure training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Support production planning and capacity management.
• Ensure health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision to the team to meet performance metrics.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
