Job summary

Hertz is seeking a Car Control Clerk to ensure vehicles are rental ready and properly tracked at a site. The role blends office tasks with outdoor vehicle work, using handheld EAM devices and scanning tools while coordinating registrations, inspections and asset tagging.

You will review fleet status, help stage vehicles, and manage data entry, emails, and reports. Prior car rental or asset control experience is preferred, with flexible scheduling including nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in car rental industry preferred.
• Asset control experience preferred.
• Proficient with Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to use handheld EAM devices and scan equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities to make vehicles rental/sale ready including inspections and registrations.
• Review VAW variance to resolve miscoded cars.
• Organize lot staging and scan vehicles with mobile devices.
• Monitor non-rentable units and fleet levels with Pool Fleet Manager to restore status.
• Mark vehicles with Quadrant system and monitor aging.
• Inventory vehicles and manage asset control points.
• Add new asset tags to incoming fleet and receive vehicles in EAM.
• Complete administrative duties: data entry, emails, reports, close work orders, conference calls.
• Coordinate transportation and car haulers, including Non-Revenue moves.
